For Appellants

If the local authority chooses to contest your appeal, its response, a copy of which it must send to you, will include a Case Summary and Representations form. This form includes a section called “Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) – see below:



This identifies the title of the TRO on which the local authority relies, and whether the TRO is enclosed as part of the response sent to you, or whether it is in this library. If in the library the form should contain a reference number (index number) for the TRO in the library. This reference number, or, if not supplied, the title of the TRO can be entered into the search form in this library to view the TRO. Please click “Search” in the left hand navigation bar to access the library’s Search Form. The guidance notes with the Search Form will assist you.

For general browsers

TRO’S can be accessed in one of two ways:

Browse by local authority - this enables you to search for all TROs in the library made by a specific local authority.

  • Step 1 – Click on a local authority name in the list on the left hand side of this screen. This will display a list of all TROs in the library from that authority.
  • Step 2- Click on the reference number in the left hand column of that list to view that TRO.

Browse by search form – this enables you to search for a TRO(s) across all local authorities using three specified search criteria. Please click “Search” in the left hand navigation bar to access the library’s Search Form. The guidance notes with the Search Form will assist you.
